Bio

I’m a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for music and a unique imagination. I love helping others achieve their goals, and using my art to aid them in that process. I’m a 31 year old Virginia native. I relocated to Brooklyn, NY in July 2019, just before we entered into our new pandemic world. I’ve got skills specialized for working with musicians, considering I’m a music producer myself. I aim to create visual solutions to the problems my fellow musician’s and artists face in personal development and expansion of their brands. Ultimately, I am a branding identity designer for other creatives. With 20 years of experience with the Adobe suite under my belt, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, drawing and using the programs is second nature. In general I love to create things I see and hear in my head.

What Does Liberation Mean To You?

I feel that true liberation would require major upheaval and changes from the inside out for Black people in the diasporic conversation, to truly taste what liberation looks like. I think we would need to abolish systems in place that govern our world today -- that have any histories or threads that lead back to oppression of another people, or class of people. Unfortunately, the systems from the violent the police, to the essential American dollar all share a sordid history of the foundational elements of oppression. To me, liberation would look like a world where new systems are build from cultural rules, and wholistic and humanistic practices. Liberation is freedom from the inhibitions of societal pressures, prejudices, and boundaries, though I feel it's necessary to recognize what barriers need to be broken, and then what's on the other side of those walls.
