Bakongo
I’m a producer/DJ from London, UK. I originally go under the name, Roska. Both Roska and Bakongo started the same time back in 2007. Where Roska is more fuller tracks, more melodies and mostly vocal based music. Bakongo on the other hand is very stripped back, raw and highly experimental. There’s no rules or boundaries.
The idea behind Bakongo in the last 5 years was to differentiate the styles from Roska’s UK Funky/Carribbean led style and bring Bakongo in to the darkness a little. Sprinkling a little Techno and some of the more skippy styles I’ve used in the past like my remix of Four Tet - Love Cry [Roska Remix], Untold - Just for You [Roska Remix] and few more titles like that.
I like to spread the sounds out, give the bass line a hit here, a series of percussion here and the more you listen to my music you will hear different elements and instruments each time.
