Dvonne

The first album dvonne owned was the double compilation, The Best of Luther Vandross... The Best of Love. The first concert dvonne attended was a hip-hop festival where The Notorious B.I.G. headlined. dvonne delved into goth-industrial in the late 90's and raver-club kid at the turn of the millennium. All of that comes out on the dance floor.

Since 2009, dvonne has been carving out a queer corner in DC nightlife. From Pink Sock, to the Pocket Gays, to CTRL, dvonne has a unique blend of genres to some of DC's most renowned venues, including the Kennedy Centeer and Hirshhorn Museum, Echostage, 9:30 Club, U Street Music Hall, Black Cat, Jimmy Valentine's, and signature queer spaces including Trade, Town Danceboutique, and Cobalt.

In 2021, dvonne became a founding member of DC QT BIPOC collective Noxeema Jackson, curating sound and culture centering and embracing QT BIPOC artistry, and welcoming ALL to partake.
