New York based artist @gladstonedeluxe provides intelligent & technologically enhanced sounds for the 12th release from Black Techno Matters titled Purgatory 7 EP. His work takes the form of recorded media using percussion, electronics, installations, and performance. While percussion is often only tied to the act of striking an object, Gladstone Deluxe sees percussion as an expressive manifestation of time architectures that bind humans, framed by the larger rhythmical walls of sun-rise and sun-set. On Purgatory 7 EP, musical rhythm becomes a unique tool for celebrating nonlinearity, asymmetry and difference in society. Accompanied by two fiery remixes by Black Techno Matters' very own @b_x_r_n_x_r_d & @blvksite, Purgatory 7 EP will be available on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp on May 5 2023.
